But… What exactly is a “Nerd Republic?”

The idea behind our site is simple: Geeks and nerds no longer carry a negative stigma to their titles. It’s cool to be geeky. So, I wanted a place that celebrated all things that people tend to completely “geek out” over.

But, one can be a nerd about so many things. Film, music, video games, tabletop games, podcasts, technology, gadgets… The possibilities are limitless. So I’ve assembled various people that are all passionate about different walks of popular culture to talk about the things they love the most.

The site officially launched on August 29, 2011. At the moment, it is a small operation with a handful of people contributing, simply because they are excited about the core concept of our site. Hopefully over time, we will continue to grow and feature even more content that you couldn’t get anywhere else.

We currently have a film podcast that has been running for several months now, titled “Instant Gratification.” We hope that you continue to be entertained by it, as the numbers have a shown a steady increase in listeners since it’s creation. Even more podcasts regarding different topics are ideas for the future, as well as video content as well. It’s all very exciting, and we can only accomplish our goals with your help.
